I think I’m getting old. I’m about to quote Neil Young lyrics at you. Darnnit, I’ve posted a YouTube clip of the old guy singing this classic track. As a kid, Dad used to play Neil Young on Saturday afternoons when we cleaned the house. And Credence Clearwater and Deep Purple.
I happened to see a very early preview of the biggest movie to release this year (which I’ll post on in a little bit) and this song features in it.
Also, there’s something in the air. Do you feel it? Everyone around me is saying they’re feeling raw. And alive. My “brand of sad” post sparked a lot of this. And my computer death story also got reader and astrologer Jo Tracey thinking about the astrological significance of things right now.
This song suits the mood.
“Heart Of Gold”
I want to live,
I want to give
I’ve been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It’s these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old…..…I’ve been in my mind,
it’s such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
I’ve been in my mind. And I’m looking for hearts of gold. Tho’, mostly I’ve been looking for my own, to be honest. It’s been missing for a bit. Or a little lack-lustre. I haven’t been as kind as I’d like.
What lyrics are grabbing you right now? I often have a stanza that just grabs me in the guts. You?
